Millions of internet users are registering domain names daily.
Why I can say two third of this internet users find the domain name they want and register it for a couple of dollars, others don’t find it that way, as they see the domain name they want but they can’t register it either because someone has already register it or it was registered but up for sale for a higher price.
What if you could be that person that registered the domain name and put it up for sale? Definitely you would want to charge high.
Today I want to show you how to buy domain names at cheap price and sell at higher price.

1. Find a good domain registrar
Namecheap.com has always been my best choice for registering domain names. Signing up with them is easy; you can do that by visiting their website. Another good choice is Godaddy.com I also use them.
Apart from these two choices, you can always Google up more on domain registrars.
2. Have a working credit card
You have registered for an account on a domain registrar like namecheap, but in other to start buying domain names, you need a credit card. I currently use MasterCard and it has helped my online business look easier. You can also get a good credit card choice from your local bank operators.
3. Purchase domain names on coupon codes.
With coupon codes you can buy a domain name at a cheap rate of $1.99 instead of the normal $10 rate. You can only buy at the normal prices if you have exhausted the coupon code.
4. Buy Eye catching domain names.
In other to be successful in this domain name business, you must be the eyes of your customers.
Will someone readily purchase that domain name from you, even willing to pay $1000 for it? That’s what I mean by eye catching domain name. Here are several cases that eye catching domain names attracted top businesses.
Fb.com sold for $8.5 million in September 2010
Beer.com sold for $7 million in 2004
Korea.com sold for $5 million in January 2000
Freeport.com sold for $4 million in February 2008
yp.com sold for $3.85 million in November 2008
5. Sell your domain names
I have gone through the process of buying a domain name. Now the question here is how do I sell my domain name at higher price? Do I have to wait for buyers to come knocking?
A big NO, you have to go out there and put your domain name in the market place were millions of buyers can see it.
And I am going to show you how:-
a) Flippa.com: This is one of the biggest websites were people buy and sell domains. As a seller of domain name you can sign up for a flippa account and pay a certain fee to list you domain name.
Believe me if you got a few dollars to spent, I can assure you that seeing a buyer at flippa is a guarantee.
b) Namecheap Market Place: This is where I mostly list my domain name up for sale and it’s free. Well actually not free, as namecheap takes 10% commission on each domain name sale.
The only disadvantage is that you can only list the domain names you purchase from them on their marketplace.
You can list your domain name on namecheap market place by viewing the domain management section, select the domain and click on list domain name at the left sidebar.
c) Godaddy Market Place: Same condition goes for godaddy as namecheap just that you have to pay a fee in other to list you domain name on godaddy market place. You can find out more from their website.
I have taken my time to show were you can list your domain name up for sale. This are not just the only 3 out there, you can also make use of social network sites to sell your domain names.
To cut it short, Domain name is good business…
And if you have a domain name up for sale you can always contact me with edemaero (at) gmail.com.
I also buy domain names, as long as they are eye-catching and resell…
